4 tracks of Danish Oi, actually the first ever skinhead band from Denmark to release anything, and this puts the country on the map straightaway. All 4 songs are in English and are all about beer, fun & women, a band who know how to enjoy themselves. Musically it's all very upbeat and English sounding, with a lot of melody. Limited to a 1,000 copies and comes with an insert. Available through the following vinyl-distributors: Vulture Rock (USA), Dim Records (Germany), Mr. Clean and Bords De Seine (France). Larger quantities available from Pure Impact direct.

The Hoolies started playing together in November 1998 with Soren (vocals), Thor (bass), Kresten (Guitar) and JP (drums), and by February 1999 Mads (guitar) joined the band, to give the sound that extra something.

The goal from the start was to create an old school British Oi! sound, non-political, with influences taken from all the heroes that played in the 1980's. Our songs are mostly about football (hence our name), alcohol and birds, day to day things in life that we find either interesting or annoying enough to write about. But the most important thing about the lyrics in general is, that we are trying to be not too serious about whatever topic in question, but instead take it all quite light-heartedly.

In April 1999 we decided to go into a recording studio to record some songs for a promo-CD called "Jutland" (4 of the 5 songs from this CD are featured on the 7" EP on Pure Impact, the last song will be used for a compilation put out by Cranes Blasés Records in France).

Quite a lot of people seemed to like the sound of the promo and this gave the band a chance to play in Norway, Germany and of course our homeland of Denmark. Some of the bands we've played with are Condemned 84, Boots 'n' Braces, Get Out, Haggis & The Defectors (just to mention a few).

In the spring of 2000 our vocalist Soren decided to leave the band due to the fact that he wanted to concentrate on his other band, Skaloot (Danish ska band). That set the band back a bit. But after a short while we got a new drummer, Rasmus, taking over from JP, who took instead moved on to vocals.

The last few months have been a struggle to get the band back on track, but everythings going smooth again right now.

The new line-up in The Hoolies are to date: JP - Vocals Thor - Bass Kresten - Guitar Mads - Guitar Rasmus - Drums.

We have a couple of concerts planned for the near future : the second weekend of August in Boras, Sweden and October 7th in Aarhus, Denmark with Guddommelig Galskab (Danish punk), Skaloot (Danish ska), The Whalers (Norwegian Oi!) and Godless Wicked Creeps (Danish psychobilly). Besides that we hope to record a full-length LP or CD in the near future.
