Review from Destination13 e-zine
The Dutch Oi! and streetpunk scene seems to get bigger and bigger by
the year. More bands are coming, and the quality of the releases is getting
better and better. The upcoming sampler "Oi! Made In Holland"
will prove this fact, and so does the new album from Dutch skinhead outfit
Razorblade.
If you thought that their debut album "Spreading Fear"
was a real kick in the balls, then check out "Skinheads Are Back!!".
The music and lyrics even got more aggressive, but yet they maintain a
lot of melody, and even some humor for that matter, just listen to 'Sloop
De Discotheek' (a cover from The Business with Dutch lyrics), and
you'll understand what I'm saying.
Some other songs are : "Better Off Dead", "Jeugdcultuur"
(I believe Jeugdcultuur was also the working title for the album for a
while), "We're Gonna Be Ok...", "Skinheads Are
Back!", "De Nieuwe Wereldorde" and "The
Lion's Roar", which is an acoustic ballad with Viktor from Badlands.
I especially like the Dutch songs on this album, the Dutch lyrics improved
a lot when you compare them with the Dutch lyrics on their debut.
Dutch Oi! album of the year? Well, the year isn't over yet (even though
it's not far away), but I believe it will be!
